The success of the Palas® Promo Aerosol Particle size spectrometer is based on measurement methods developed at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), including the use of a white light source, 90° scattered light detection and optically defined measurement volumes. Today, this technique is one of the very few optical measurement methods available that can accurately measure particle diameters and quantity concentrations at volume concentrations of up to 1,000,000 particles/cm3 without the use of dilution systems.
Palas® offers particle size spectrometers under various series names such as Promo, Promo LED, welas digital (discontinued), etc., which are renowned worldwide for their accuracy, reliability and durability. The Optical Aerosol Spectrometer (OAS) is a scientific instrument designed in accordance with ISO 21501-1 and VDI 3867-4.
