In most cities, the bus is an essential element of the public transportation system. It also helps to reduce emissions by transporting people collectively. Currently, a significant number of buses are powered by natural gas. Gas filters are therefore taking center stage. Producers must reliably test their efficiency. A renowned technology laboratory develops and tests various types of gas and fuel installations. The company trusts the Palas® DFP 3000 compressed air filter test rig for their gas filter tests because Palas® is recognized worldwide for its excellent and reliable technology.
A long-term and trusted partner
This testing laboratory is one of the few laboratories accredited by CNAS (China National Accreditation Service for Conformity Assessment). It learned about the testing rigs of Palas® via colleagues in Hong Kong and Shanghai, who were familiar with the German aerosol testing specialist. Representatives of the company were impressed not only by the good reputation of Palas® but also by its highly sophisticated solutions that perfectly met their requirements. Therefore, the lab chose DFP 3000 compressed air filter test rig to monitor and optimize its production line. For seven years, Palas® instruments have run reliably and smoothly in the laboratory.
Palas® supports low-carbon and environmental-friendly mobility
Public transportation offers a convenient, and low-carbon way of travel. Gas-powered buses reduce hydrocarbon emissions by 70% and nitrogen oxide by 35% than petrol-powered buses. This significantly contributes to reducing air pollution in cities.
For manufacturers of natural gas filters for gas-powered vehicles, there is an urgent need for appropriate testing solutions in order to select the right filter media, test materials, control production and inspect finished product. Accurate test results require reliable instruments. Test rigs such as the Palas® DFP 3000 help manufacturers to gain an easy and comprehensive overview of product quality. As the industry leader of filter testing systems, the advanced German technology of Palas® supports R&D and quality control whilst promoting a low-carbon and environmental way of travel.
The unique Palas® test systems
Palas®DFP 3000 can be equipped with three different aerosol generators: PLG 3000 for measurement of the fraction separation efficiency with oil, AGF 3000 for burden tests, short burdening times with oil, and RBG 1000 D for tests with solid particles up to 3 bar. The largely automated setup of the test sequence together with the clearly defined individual components and the individually adjustable sequence programs of the filter test software FTControl deliver highly reliable results. All air volume flows and the overpressure in the system are automatically monitored and adjusted. The results are presented in detailed form in tables and diagrams and analyzed. Palas® filter test systems are used in a wide range of industries.
