Palas® Brings New FET Air Filter Performance Test System to Help You Improve Product Competitiveness

Are you a HEPA/ULPA filter or filter media manufacturer?

Are you unable to accurately know the filtration rating of your filter media due to the limitations of filtration efficiency based on mass concentration?

Do you suffer from the inability to obtain the fractional efficiency and MPPS of the filter media, resulting in the inability to confirm the improvement of efficiency in the core particle size range after product optimization, which affects the progress of product development?

Are you looking for a powerful and cost-effective original imported filter testing system?

The new Palas® FET air filter performance test system can help users perform the air filtration performance test of filter media and filter elements. This is because its core particle size interval of more particle size channels can help the test bench to determine the MPPS more accurately. The system supports the nano-particle U-SMPS system (Universal Scanning Mobility Particle Sizer), or aerosol spectrometer Promo® system as measurement equipment to help users perform the fractional efficiency test within the range of 0.02 μm – 40 μm. The tests are performed in comparable with ISO 29463-5 and ISO 16890 (ePM1, ePM2.5). To meet the testing requirements of different filter sizes, Palas® also offers customized solutions for different duct sizes and rated airflow ranges.

The most penetrating particle size of most commonly used filtration materials is in the range of 30nm – 300nm. How to accurately perform a fractional efficiency test in this main particle size range, and determine the location of MPPS (Most Penetrating Particle Size) based on the fractional efficiency curve is one of the major problems faced by many filter material manufacturers.

In turn, the material rating and MPPS information are used for filter selection, development, and testing. As a HEPA/ULPA manufacturer, it is often necessary to validate the material’s fractional efficiency and MPPS. Then determine the median counting diameter of the aerosol based on the MPPS range, and to measure the fractional efficiency of the filter within the core particle size range. This will significantly shorten the cycle time for product development and performance improvement. The new Palas® FET system allows you to easily meet these challenges and gain superior market competitiveness.

Revolutionize filter quality control with the FET System

The FET system offers superior reliability and accuracy for your air filter element quality control. The FET system has excellent test capabilities, and can reliably test air filter up to 610 x 610 x 610 mm in size. It provides rigorous tests of overall filtration efficiency and changes in cartridge pressure drop during particulate loading. Besides, it also accurately determines the fractional efficiency of a wide range of dusts, salts, oils, and latex aerosols in the 0.02 to 40 μm particle size range. This gives our clients a comprehensive view of cartridge performance across a wide range of particle sizes, better meets their needs, and optimize the product design.

The FET series test system includes three models of FET 100, FET 300 and FET 600 to adapt to the test requirements of different filter sizes: Small filter sizes up to 100 x 100 x 100 mm, medium filter sizes of 300 x 300 x 300 mm and large filter sizes of 610 x 610 x 610 mm.

Meeting the needs of multi-standard testing in the filtration field

In terms of application, the FET system covers a wide range of filtration fields. Whether for HVAC (ISO 16890, ASHRAE 52.2 or ISO 11155), high efficiency filters (EN 1822-3/-5 or ISO 29463-3/-5) or engine air intake filtration (ISO 5011), it can accurately evaluate filter efficiency and wind resistance. It ensures that your products will meet high standards and are recognized globally.

In a competitive market, quality control and performance optimization of air filters are key to your success. The new Palas® FET air filter performance test system provides you the accurate evaluation and reliable test results. It also meets the customized needs of different filter sizes and applications based on standards. With Palas® FET system, your time is saved and efficiency in product development is improved. Let Palas® FET system be your reliable choice for quality assurance and help your products stand out in the market.
