JiangSu CleanAir Environmental Sci-Tech Co., Ltd. (Referred to as “CleanAir Environmental” ) has been a pioneer in the field of air purification in the pursuit of a fresher environment. It has long been focusing on the research and production of air purification devices and filtration materials for domestic, commercial and industrial applications. In order to accurately test the classification efficiency of high efficiency filter media and determine the counting efficiency at MPPS, CleanAir Environmental chose the Palas® MFP Nano Plus 4000 HEPA/ULPA Media Filtration Performance Test Rig, which provides R&D personnel with reliable test data to help develop and produce higher quality functional filter media.

Selection of CleanAir Environmental’s research team
Founded in 2017, CleanAir Environmental is a professional air filtration solution provider integrating R&D, production, sales and service. In air filtration, we are involved in many fields such as household air purifier, fresh air system, commercial ventilation system, industrial clean room filtration, automotive air conditioning filter, etc. The products include coarse, medium and high efficiency as well as high efficiency filtration materials, which cover a wide range of standards such as F6 to F9, E11-H13, H14, etc., and we also have the research and development and production capacity of a number of functional filtration materials such as anti-bacterial, mildew, anti-virus, anti-allergy and so on. It is also possible to respond to individual customized solutions for customers with different requirements.
The Palas® MFP Nano Plus 4000 HEPA filtration performance test rig was selected, equipped with Scanning Mobility Particle Sizer (SMPS) and two Condensation Particle Counters (CPC) located at the upstream and downstream of the material, to complete the determination of the classification efficiency at the same time, in order to obtain more accurate measurement results. The CPC is equipped with two Condensation Particle Counters (CPC) located at the upstream and downstream of the material.

Smooth co-operation process
The cooperation between CleanAir Environmental and Palas® started in December 2021, after several detailed telephone and face-to-face conversations with Palas® and its authorised distributor Link Precision Instrument, Palas® won the favour of CleanAir Environmental by virtue of its stable and excellent testing system and professional technical support for filtration performance testing. During the preliminary research on equipment procurement, Palas® and Link Precision Instrument quickly provide expert advice and detailed solutions, and also responded quickly to CleanAir Environmental’s request for sample testing. Samples of the media were sent to Palas® headquarters in Germany for testing, and the resulting test data fully proved the stability and accuracy of the test rig. After the arrival of the test system, Palas® arranged a professional technical team to carry out the system installation, commissioning and training, and quickly answered any questions raised by the user during the process.

Palas® provides double protection for experiments
Founded in 1983, Palas® has specialised in aerosol particulate matter for over 40 years, offering a wide range of solutions. Palas® offers a complete range of solutions for filtration performance test of High Efficiency and Ultra High Efficiency media and rigs to meet the testing needs of a wide variety of users.
For high and ultra-high efficiency media, the MFP Nano Plus 4000 is equipped with a Scanning Electric Mobility Particle Size Spectrometer and a Condensation Particle Counter (CPC) upstream and downstream to measure particles upstream and downstream simultaneously to accurately determine the efficiency of grading up to the U17 level of material and to determine the location and efficiency of the MPPS and ultimately help the user to determine the grade of the media based on the MPPS. It is a great help to CleanAir Environmental as a R&D and production company.
For high efficiency filters, Palas’ new FET Air Filter Performance Test System incorporates Scanning Electric Mobility Particle Size Spectrometry as the core aerosol particulate measurement device, providing tiered efficiency testing capability in the core particle size range of 20 nm – 400 nm.
