Asian Aerosol Conference AAC 2024 – Palas® invites you to share your research with us!

Palas® cordially invites you to participate in the 13th Asian Aerosol Conference (AAC), which will be held from 3 to 7 November 2024 at the Borneo Convention Center (BCCK), Kuching, Sarawak, Malaysia, an event for science and technology. As a silver sponsor of the conference, Palas® will set up a booth at the conference site to showcase our new technologies and products. At the same time, Mr. Henrik Hof, Product Manager from the German headquarters, will give a 30-minute speech in the Pocket Talks session to provide you with in-depth insights on environmental monitoring.

In addition, Palas® would like to be the bridge between the conference and the scholars, providing you with support and assistance. Whether you are ready to submit an abstract, looking for opportunities for research collaboration, or need to connect with the conference organizers, Palas® will be your trusted partner. We look forward to working with you to explore new advances in aerosol science, gain insight into future trends, and create a new chapter in scientific research.

Abstract Sharing

The extensive use of Palas® instruments in university research has brought a wealth of practical results to the academic community. We are honored to invite many university scholars to participate in this year’s AAC 2024 and to share the abstracts they have submitted.

Case Study of Marine Aerosol Research Using AQ Guard in Fudan University

Research background:

For the common air filters in our daily life, the filter lifetime of fibrous media is important for the energy-saving application of air filters and efficient delivery of clean air. The clogging process significantly affects the dust-loading behavior of fibrous filter media. Therefore, an effective methodology for determining the deposition of dust particles inside filter structures is necessary. The research team at the College of Textiles, Donghua University, obtained a large amount of reliable dust loading data with the help of the Palas® MFP 3000 filter filtration test rig, explored the collision behavior of dust particles with fibrous media and established a high-fidelity numerical simulation model of dust filtration.

Applications of Palas® MFP 3000:

During the loading process, Palas® MFP 3000 provides highly precise dust loading test data on classification efficiency that changes in real time, thanks to its powerful test capability and flexible test functions. In addition, Palas® MFP 3000 provides in total of 59 channels for particle size distribution measurement of ISO A2 fine dust.

Research results:

The research team has successfully developed a highly accurate numerical model of dust loading behavior of air filtration media with the help of stable and reliable experimental data from the Palas® MFP 3000. As can be seen in the figure below, the deviation between the simulated and experimental dust holding capacity was less than 1%, which makes it potentially useful in various fields and will help the air filtration industry in the future.

Are you on board?
Call for abstracts….

Organized by the Clean Air Forum Society of Malaysia (MyCAS) and in collaboration with the Asian Aerosol Research Assembly (AARA), AAC 2024 aims to bring together scientists, researchers, industry participants and policy makers to discuss specialized topics related to aerosol science, technology, measurements and impacts. Conference topics cover a wide range of important areas from aerosols and air pollution, climate meteorology, aerosol exposure and health effects, filter and control technologies, indoor air, nanoparticles and nanotechnology, and urban aerosols and air quality.

The organizers of the Conference are now calling for high quality abstracts from the aerosol industry. Quality papers presented at the conference will have the opportunity to be included in special issues of the Journal of Aerosol and Air Quality Research (AAQR), Science of the Total Environment (STOTEN) and Aerosol Science and Technology (AS&T). Therefore, you are cordially invited to attend the AAC 2024 Conference and submit your abstract for the opportunity to present your research in the form of an “Oral Presentation” or “Poster Presentation”.

Important date reminder:
In order to encourage more high-quality papers to participate, the organizers of AAC 2024 have extended the abstract submission deadline to July 31, 2024. Please hurry up and submit your abstract to share your research results with your peers around the world.

Palas® Support and Cooperation:
If your abstract involves research using Palas® products or you need assistance and cooperation, please contact us at info@palas.com.cn. Palas® will provide you with support and help you on your scientific journey.
