Description
To ensure filter quality, ISO 29463-1 requires that all HEPA /ULPA filters with an efficiency of 99.95% or higher (ISO 35H/H13) be tested for the following:
•    local efficiency according to ISO 29463-4
•    overall efficiency according to ISO 29463-5
The LFT 1000 combines the requirements of ISO 29463-4 Annex B for filters of class ISO 35 H to ISO 45H with a simple manual test procedure.
The system uses the appropriate software to report leakage points quickly and easily.

Operation principle
Manual scantest with for HEPA/ULPA filter
The test system consists of the following components:
– Supply air duct with volume flow measurement and raw gas sampling
– Horizontal filter holder (adapter for different filter sizes)
– Aerosol generator
– Sampling and integrated photometer for manual scanning by hand in the clean gas
Data evaluation with test protocol on Windows interface
First, the aspirated air flows through the built-in filter with a defined volume flow. The particle concentration is measured on the raw gas side with a photometer.
The pressure drop is recorded manually by scanning over the filter surface.
The operator moves the sampling probe over the clean gas side of the filter and thus scans the local emission in the clean gas utilizing the photometer. Leakage points are thus detected quickly and easily.
After successful testing, the test report is generated.
