The “2021 China Filter Industry Annual Conference— Innovation Development and Frontier Technology Summit Forum” was held in Suqian on October 28th. Palas®, the German aerosol technology expert was invited once again to participate in this annual event. Michael Wolf, Managing Director of Palas® China, was also present. Invited by the China Internal Combustion Engine Industry Association, he exchanged his knowledge with other experts in the industry. On stage, Linus Wang, Sales Unit Manager Industry & Science at Palas® China, shared valuable insights with the audience.
Advanced Measurements Technology for Higher Standards
Carbon neutrality and green sustainable development are vital topics and major goals across all industries as China’s Stage 6 emission standard for new light-duty vehicles is being gradually implemented. Also, the performance of various filters used in the modern automobile and internal combustion engines must meet higher demands. As the cleaning guardian of automobiles and internal combustion engines, filters are directly related to environmental pollution and air quality. This development in the filter industry was also reflected in the motto of the technology summit forum, “R&D core new technologies, seize market opportunities”. The experts from Palas® elaborated on the standard content of filter performance tests and the difference between different types of light scattering measurement equipment. They also introduced the technical advantages of the Palas® particle size spectrometer in the filtration performance test, which was received with great interest by the participants.
At the forum, Palas® focused on three main products: The MFP 3000 filter media test rig, the HMT 1000 heatable modular test system for oil mist separators, and the DFP 3000 compressed air filter test rig. Visitors could experience the Palas® aerosol generators, and particle size spectrometers live onsite. Experts, existing and potential customers also used the opportunity for a personal conversation with the team from Palas®.
The Palas® MFP 3000 ensure a precise and flexible measurement of fractional separation efficiency, dust holding capacity, and pressure drop in high and low aerosol concentrations. The test results provided by the pre-programmed measurement procedures with defined test parameters can be used for global comparisons. The HMT 1000 uses the isothermal particle measurement method for quick and accurate testing at temperatures up to 120°C. The advanced HMT 1000 test system, complying with the ISO 17536 standard, minimized errors in the measuring process. Thanks to the excellent correlation between the quantitative distribution measurement and the gravimetric analysis, very fast and volume-relevant testing of the oil mist separators is assured.
Palas® Advanced Technology for higher Efficiency of Filter Tests
In his well-acclaimed speech, Linus Wang, Sales Unit Manager Industry & Science at Palas® China, highlighted the topic “Test and Analysis on Performance of Filtration Material” giving a comprehensive overview over technical advantages and principles of Palas® products, application solutions, industry standards.
He also talked about test bench solutions for oil mist separators, compressed air, natural gas filters, and air filtration products based on core technologies. The provided data prove the superior performance and reliable test results of Palas® instruments. Linus Wang elaborated on how Palas® can support filter material testing with its strong technical support.
The China Filter Industry Annual Conference is a platform to showcase new technologies and nurtures knowledge exchange and cooperation between the participating experts. The conference has also been an excellent platform for Palas® to introduce the superior technology of its instruments to the industry, helping them improve their products with accurate testing.
