The AQ Guard Ambient has a compact design. It can easily be installed in a car for mobile ambient air monitoring. It is also an information and training centre for the Shanghai Environmental Monitoring Department. For SEMC researchers, measuring the number of particles in the air is a routine procedure. A newly developed mass conversion algorithm calculates PM values based on single particle optical light scattering, taking signal duration and shape into account.
