Those research institutes, including the institutes of environment, face the major strategic needs of ecological and environmental protection in the process of urbanization. They have strict requirements for the accuracy, flexibility and continuous monitoring capability of ambient air monitoring instruments.<\/p>\n<p>Palas\u00ae specialized in particle matter monitoring. The researchers compared the data from the Fidas\u00ae 200 S with the commonly used SMPS. And it can keep operating smoothly with regular and simple maintenance. In late August to mid-September 2022, the Fidas\u00ae 200 S Fine Dust Aerosol Spectrometer showed anomalies in the observation data, which were later checked and confirmed to be caused by a clogged inlet pump membrane. Fidas\u00ae 200 S analyzes continuously the fine dust particles present in the ambient air in the size range 180 nm \u2013 18 \u00b5m, and calculates simultaneously the emission values PM<sub>2.5<\/sub> and PM<sub>10<\/sub>. At the same time, PM<sub>1<\/sub>, PM<sub>4<\/sub>, PM<sub>tot<\/sub>, the particle number concentration C<sub>N<\/sub> and the particle size distribution are calculated and recorded by Fidas\u00ae 200 S.
