They are used for particle classification and particle number concentration counting. During monitoring, firstly the sheath air goes into DEMC, and then the classification of different particles can be done through voltage regulation. After that, CPC counts single light pulses at the DEMC outlet to calculate particle number concentrations of each particle size channel.
