Helping to Measure Particle Accurately – Palas® at the 12th China Congress on Particle Technology

The 12th China Congress on Particle Technology (CCPT12) was grandly held in Haikou City from April 21 to 24, 2023. Palas® as a German aerosol measurement technology expert, had the honor to gather with experts, scholars and enterprises in the field of particle science. We discussed the new technologies, industry standards, and development trends of particle monitoring. At the Congress site, Palas® displayed a variety of particle monitoring instruments. Palas® experts also brought wonderful speeches on related technologies and products in the three major theme venues. At the same time, the Chinese Particle Society awarded Palas® the “Outstanding Group Member Unit” award.

The Congress is guided by the China Association for Science and Technology, hosted by the Chinese Society of Particuology, and co-organized by the Hainan Association for Science and Technology, the Professional Committee of Energy Granular Materials, and Hainan University. The theme of the Congress is “Innovation Boosts Double Carbon, Green Empowers Development”. Experts and scholars conducted heated discussions on technological development and industry trends in particle science. The participants included experts from universities, research institutes and various enterprises. More than 2,000 people participated in the Congress on-site, and more than 40,000 participated online.

Thinking Collision Promotes Accurate Measurement

A total of 25 sessions were organized, bringing together a strong line-up of experts and academics to deliver a great technical feast of particle science. Palas® gave presentations in Session 16: Aerosol behavior studies in nuclear power plants, Session 18: Particle Characterization and Testing, and Session 20: Aerosol science developments and future trends of carbon neutrality targets. Since its inception, Palas® has always been committed to scientific rigor, innovation, and creativity, providing solutions for different scenarios. It is believed that this in-depth exchange will help more professionals to understand Palas® and help promote accurate particle measurement.

On aerosol monitoring in high temperature and pressure conditions, Mr. Jeff Yi, Market Manager of Industry & Science at Palas® China, gave a solution. He introduced an aerosol sensor for high-temperature and pressure testing. And he explained how Palas® helps users measure the particle size distribution, mass concentration and number concentration of aerosol particles under the conditions of up to 10 bar or up to 250°C. And so that it can avoid deviations in particle measurement due to non-isothermal and isobaric sampling.

Ms. Jun Deng, Palas® Business Development Manager—Environmental & Automotive, delivered a speech on the application of the new aerosol spectroscopy method in the study of environmental fine particles. And she introduced how the aerosol spectroscopy method is embodied in the Palas® instrument. At the same time, she introduced the field application of the Fidas® 200 series, SMPS and other equipment, and had friendly exchanges with many experts.

In addition, Mr. Linus Wang, Sales Manager Industry and Science at Palas® China, introduced the single particle light-scattering method particle size spectrometer based on white light sources. For equipment Such as the Promo® series light-scattering aerosol spectrometer, its calibration curve ensures accurate measurement and provides users with self-calibration functions. At the same time, he expounded on how to eliminate the common boundary and coincidence error in the light scattering measurement principle. It is based on the T-shaped measurement area technology and a unique algorithm. After the presentation, the experts exchanged further views on the development of particle monitoring technology and gained insight into Palas® precision instruments.

As a technology specialist in the field of particle monitoring, Palas® is committed to contributing to innovative environmental green developments. We have sophisticated measurement equipment and visual data processing platforms for different conditions of the measurement environment. With them, you can further control the situation of particles in the air. Palas® is devoted to adding to the “innovation for double carbon, green for development”.
